Mostly books!

My favorite stories growing up were rhyming books with silly sketches. (Thanks Dr. Seuss!)

Next came mysteries and thrillers that my parents didn't always know I was reading -- The Bourne Identity, James Bond and lots of Stephen King!

Heart & Humor

When my son was born, I read hundreds of books about devious ducks, practical princesses and animals that couldn't fall asleep. After that came magic tree houses, wimpy kids and wizards.

Now, I read lots of different books:

Picture books about frogs on logs;

Adventures about athletes and spies; Novels with heart like The Book Thief, Wonder or Simon Sort of Says; Memoirs about writers, chefs and artists; And cookbooks...with lots of butter and bacon, please!
